Chinese New Year in Beijing!

February 14th is the Chinese New Year or as known as Spring Festival. and this year is a year of tiger according to chinese lunar calendar. so, here i am.. the very first time celebrating this special event in Beijing. oh, moreover it's also the valentine's day! wow! what a great opportunity!

i could hear firework sounds exploded since yesterday, this morning, untill now and it's becoming more spectacular. even i only celebrate this day in my cold room without family around, but i still enjoy it by seeing the beautiful fireworks splendid everywhere from my window. OH! still hearing that horrendous sounds. hahaha.. have a look!

nothing special for us, because essentially it's a family occasion where people getting around with their family and having dinner together, for chinese they have many different ways to celebrate it.

while, my family go to Bandung and feast with my big family there. sounds good. well, we do it yearly anyway so it's kinda boring but still, i hope i could be among them..

Migliore Amica

Ciao.. My time in china is so great, I got so many new friends but this one that I'm gonna talk about is not just a friend. 'migliore amica' which means 'best friend' in italian. yep, she is italian and she was my classmate but unfortunately she moved back to her hometown Firenze, Italy (miss you so much Ire). her name is Irene Gren, but I like to call her Ire.. She is so kind, funny, vigorously, and she is a good sister for me. if I get confused, I like to ask for her suggestion because she is so wise.

I still remember, she helped me and Chatra to make up our room, and she was such a good interior designer hehehe (Ire, we made up our room once again) oohh.. and we were so chatty! the teacher always reminded us to keep silent during class. hahaha. one italian word that can't be forgotten, "ciccione" means cute in fatty ways. she likes throwing that word to every cute things. hihihi.

2 months isn't enough to know more about Ire, but 2 months is enough to being her best friend and I feel so happy that I got a chance to know her and be her good friend.. miss her so bad, but I'm sure we will meet again someday!

just stay or move ??

people, I need your suggestion. now I'm living with my brother and Mehdi, my roomie. Oh, let me present my roommate. His name is Mehdi (23) from Lyon, France. he is so kind and funny, and we can learn something from him by chatting together. other than that he is older and has more experiences I bet.

Ok, what I wanna talk about here is, we will start our new semester and will end on June. I'm thinking about move to a new room which only for 2 people live and that means me and Chatra but now the problem is, I doubt and confused because Mehdi wants us, 3 of us to live together again and that's so kind of him because he thinks we are good and match roommates. yes we are. but I just want to live with more privacy, so I can do anything I want without bothering and disturbing anyone. do you understand so far? so, I really need your suggestion. you can suggest and comment this blog. your suggestions are very mean to me. thank you : )

Ok, I've just talked to my roommate by chatting on MSN. and he said it will be okay, then we will talk face to face. he just considering about the next candidates as his roommates.. well, we will figure it out when he comes back to Beijing. ; )

okay, he has got back home since yesterday so I will talk to him then everything is gonna be fine. New room, I'm coming!

2010 Winter Trip

2010, started with a wonderful story. Actually, it was because my grandma.. she missed me too much, hahaha so we met up in Zhuhai and had a trip together to Macau and Hong Kong with my grandpa as well, and Chatra (of course) and anyway Beijing was SO COLD, I couldnt stand.hahaha. so, I went to Zhuhai on Jan 12 then my grandma-pa picked me up at the Zhuhai airport then we went directly to CATIC HOTEL, where we stayed. Well, Zhuhai was quite boring after all so, couldnt wait to visit Macau soon!

Here we go. Welcome to Macau! I passed the Zhuhai-Macau border, and yeap Macau is better but still, not really like it. Glad I'm 18 already so I could enter the Casino, hehehe. I went to THE VENETIAN and played Black Jack, did well at the first and I won HK$250. not bad for freshman. huh, not really interesting in Macau, so let's go to Hong Kong..

Jan 22, I went to Hong Kong by ferry about an hour? I guess, and my grandma doesnt like water transportation so she threw up along the jorney. Arrived in Hong Kong and we went to our hotel then had a rest. In the afternoon, me and Chatra went to the Avenue Of Stars.

The next day was the day that we've been waiting, went to the Magical World! oh yes, still with Chatra together we went to HK Disneyland and its not the first time actually but we still excited to go there. We had a good time at Disneyland but unfortunately, 'Small World' closed on that day. Some pictures can tell..

Next day, we moved to another hotel in Jordan street. This hotel may be small but very confenient, if you run down the block it takes a half minute to reach the 'Bali Restaurant' a simple Indonesian restaurant that offers a variety of traditional Indonesian foods. I ate there 3 times, first with my Grandparents, then with my Canadian friend, Winnie (nice to meet you in HK, winnie), last, with Samantha (enak kan sams makanannya? apa lagi nasi goreng jawa nya. Mantap!) I miss Indonesian foods so much..

then we went to The Peak, an iconic tourism spot in Hong Kong. Do you know Madame Tussauds? you can see so many wax statues of famous people. I took pictures with 배용준, Nicole Kidman, MJ, Orlando Bloom, Mahatma Gandhi, Hitler, Picazzo, etc. Some of them were very look a like. must ride the trem to get there. Ohh, I screwed up this day, I left my shopping bag in the middle of nowhere. There were so many groceries, souvenirs inside T_T so we came back with a sense of dissapointment.. so sorry

Tomorrow is the last day! so I met my friend Samantha, we took a walk together around Hong Kong, I bought a new watch and swim suite. hahaha.. At night, we all had dinner together with Samantha's auntie and cousin who live in Hong Kong. Ok, that's all.. then the next day we went back to Macau by ferry again but the waves are quite friendly on that day. One more night in Macau. We spent our last time in Macau by visiting the famous historical Ruins of St.Paul's Cathedral.

Jan 20, time to go back home.. but before we parted, we had lunch together in a restaurant and we tasted the original macau cuisines. After that, we arrived at the border, me and Chatra have to say goodbye.. we didn't go far and will be together soon!
